About me

Hello, everyone!

My name is Deborah Pingkan. I live in Seattle, and I am currently in college studying electrical engineering. I like nice things. I love to eat, especially Japanese and Indonesian food. I enjoy writing, reading, cooking, and playing video games. I also like music, poems, history, flowers and a little bit of everything. On a side note, I shamelessly have a real obsession over horror movies and supernatural things! I really am just a curious goofball! :D

I pretty much listen to music almost 24/7, and I do feel like I function better when I am listening to music, like what I am doing right now while writing this. I am more into rock and punk music (okay, to begin with, lemme tell yall that emo is NOT dead! LOL), I feel like rock music is very uplifting for me, and it helps me a lot to get through all the crazy workload on a daily basis. Although once in awhile, my alter ego also likes to listen to a ‘slower’ music like Lo-fi or Indie music. I find it very relaxing, and it helps to declutter my mind as well. What kind of music do you guys like? Do you think music has a great impact on your life?

On my free time, you'll most likely find me in my couch just reading about anything, or watching movies.. while playing video games! I pretty much will read anything that caught my attention. From novels, biographies, poems, history articles to scientific journals, I think reading is also one of the forms of self-care for me because it's like food for the soul. Same goes to watching movies. Some of my favorites are Fight Club, Wicker Park, Leon The Professional, Pulp Fiction, Se7en, The Silence of The Lambs, and Insidious. I tend to lean on older movies. What do you guys like to do on your free time? Let me know on the comment section!

So, why did I choose "Reveriends" as my blog name? Because.. well, it's a combination of "Reverie" and "Ends." Which basically means the end of a reverie. I deal with ADD everyday, so everyday its a constant battle to focus and not get lost in my thoughts. So, that's why I named this blog "Reveriends," it's an analogy of my battle with ADD, and this blog also serves as a platform for me to express myself and to write things that bring joy to me.

I hope you can enjoy reading my blog, and I hope to see you again soon!
